VPWAS Events

The Vancouver Island PWA Society takes part in many HIV/AIDS awareness and community campaigns throughout the year as well as our own fundraising events. The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life, International Candlelight Memorial, World AIDS Day, Victoria Pride, Saltspring Island Pride to name just a few places we can be found during the year.

The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life is a national awareness and fundraising event that takes place every year in communities all across Canada. Funds raised support direct programs and services for Canadians living with HIV/AIDS in their communities.

Mark your calendars, June 28 – July 5 is Victoria Pride! The Parade and Festival will be held on Sunday, July 5. See you there!

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV.

AIDS Candlelight Memorial is a time when members of the community can come together and reflect on and remember all those who have died from HIV/AIDS.
