Volunteer Coordinator and Peer Support Program is supported by a POSITIVE ACTION community grant from ViiV Healthcare. 

Resist Stigma is a project of the Community–Based Research Centre for Gay Men’s Health (CBRC), a non–profit charitable organization that advances gay men’s health through research, learning and leadership development.

VPWAS received a grant through Resist Stigma to produce a short film “Circle of Strength” produced by Martin Moberg.

The Anti.Violence.Project (AVP) is committed to addressing and ending gender-based violence on campus and beyond.

Victoria AIDS Resource & Community Service Society (VARCS)
It is with great sadness that we announce that, as of March 31, 2014, the Victoria AIDS Resource & Community Service Society (VARCS) has closed its doors. VARCS staff and board were devastated to learn that after 23 years of service, Island Health (formerly known as Vancouver Island Health Authority) will no longer be continuing its funding.

Southern Gulf Islands AIDS Society (SGIAS)
A peer driven organization for people living with or affected by HIV

SOLID is an organization of people who are current or former illicit drug users in Victoria, BC. Since 2003, SOLID been committed to providing support, education and advocacy to better the lives of people who use drugs.

Red Road HIV/AIDS Network
The BC Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Task Force was established in 1996 to bring together on and off reserve organizations and projects dealing with HIV/AIDS.

Positive Living Society of British Columbia
Positive Living BC is dedicated to empowering persons living with HIV/AIDS through mutual support and collective action.

PEERS Victoria Resource Society
PEERS provides support, resources, and programs specifically for past and current sex workers—any gender—as well as help with housing, training and volunteering opportunities, advocacy and public education around sexual exploitation and the issues of adult sex work.

Victoria Native Friendship Centre
“To encourage and promote the well-being of Urban Aboriginal People, by strengthening individuals, family, and community.”


Sukhi Lalli – Lalli Care Clinic
Sukhi Lalli has been a long time supporter of people with HIV and has been extremely generous to VPWAS. Sukhi has a Pharmacy and Care Clinic at 1139 Yates St. offering a variety of health and wellness options as well as private pharmaceutical consultations.
