VPWAS Winter Holiday Hamper Drive

The VPWAS Winter Holiday Hamper Program provides people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C with a special hamper of high quality food items, personal care products and other gifts so that they may join in the spirit of the season. For many, it is their only opportunity to receive a gift. Holiday Hampers serve to lift the spirits of our members and to help maintain their nutritional intake.

As well as food donations, we are requesting donations of new, unwrapped gifts for our Holiday Hampers. Donations may include: socks, canned and dry food items, protein bars, multivitamins, winter scarves, hats, gloves, holiday treats, manicure sets, blankets, or books.

Other great ideas for donations include gifts cards for grocery stores or shopping centers so that recipients can purchase what they need for Christmas dinner, or gifts for their family.

Please donate gifts unwrapped, so that we can ensure that they are matched to the right member!

We are also collecting gift bags, wrapping paper, large sturdy cardboard boxes and plastic tubs for preparing hampers.

** Donations will be accepted until December 2, 2016.**

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday, from 11 am to 3 pm at our office at 101-1139 Yates Street.

VPWAS members who are living in Greater Victoria are eligible to receive hampers. For more information about eligibility or the hamper program, contact Sarah at sarah.wilson@vpwas.org, or call our office at (250) 382-7927.
