Come dance your pants off for a good cause! Youth Unleashing Power is Canada’s first national symposium created by and for HIV and HCV positive youth. All funds raised from this event will be used towards travel costs for youth attending the symposium this June. We are also gratefully accepting donations towards this and other associated costs. TigRess got her first taste of playing live when she stepped up to play a New Year’s party in Kelowna in 2013. Playing alongside 5 accomplished DJ’s, she quickly showed her natural prowess with her flavourful taste in music selection. As the dance floor filled up it was clear this tiger had earned her stripes. She was hungry for more and sunk in her teeth, securing a regular club night in Kelowna before moving to Victoria in 2014. Since that time, she’s been refining her craft while playing shows in Vancouver and private parties in Victoria. She also held a resident DJ slot on Funky Beatz Radio in the UK for 3 months. A fierce music lover, she brings contagious energy and joy with her when she’s lighting up a dance floor. TigRess is always on the hunt for that new sound and brings you the best of house, bass, jackin, funk, ghetto funk, hip hop and dance.

Lyssa
Lyssa is passionate about art, clothing & costume design, music, & dancing. Her first appearance as DJ “Lyssa” took place in 2005. Having spent 11 years in Mexico, and being fortunate enough to be exposed to Latin culture, she has a strong desire to explore her roots in her musical selections. Lyssa’s style could be described as sexy, smooth, organic, & classy, depending on what what mood we catch her in, expect anything from rolling Chicago house to quirky & bouncy Latin house, to deep and lush, to jazz and disco…
Lyssa has had the privilege of performing at summer festivals such as Shambhala Music Festival, Victoria Electronic Music Festival, Resonance, Entheos Gathering, Bushwacked, Fozzyfest, Uprising, the Northwest House Music Conference in Portland, Oregon. She made Victoria her home in spring 2007, and held a residency at Hush Nightclub for nearly 5 years.
